All payment methods are tightly integrated with our online store. The only way to pay for an order is Debit Card, Credit Card or Apple Pay.

Absolutely. As part of your order confirmation you will be issued with a Tax Invoice which you can forward via email or print off for all your tax keeping purposes.

If you are ordering for Local Pickup it's a great idea to list the person who will be picking up the drives and an approximate date/time that they'll be coming in, this will help facilitate good information flow to the rental house. If you are ordering for Express Shipping it's worth putting any notes here that relate to delivery.

We can definitely support a change of mind in delivery/pickup preferences as long as the item hasn't shipped yet. If you just placed your order and haven't recieved a Shipping Confirmation Email please get in touch with us at sales@filmdrives.com. From here we'll refund your Shipping Order and create you a duplicate order that is setup for Local Pickup. As your initial payment has been refunded you'll need to pay for this New Local Pickup Order, this is quicker than normal checkout, once that is done your drives will be ready for local pickup. If you have already recieved a Shipping Confirmation Email unfortunately we won't be able to swap your order for Local Pickup as your order is already out with the courier.

Absolutely. To be eligible for returns on unused drives they must be in the same condition you recieved them and you must contact us within 30 Days of your initial order. Send us an email at sales@filmdrives.com or touch base via the Contact Form and let us know how many drives you want to return. We’ll send you shipping details and you can post the drives back to us. When we receive the drives we’ll check them over and issue a full refund direct to the credit card that you used to purchase them. You’ll get an email informing you of the successful refund and it will be processed as quick as possible.

We are looking at offering returns of unused drives through our rental house partners in the future but for now they are serving as a pickup location only. All returns will need to shipped to us directly.


SHIPPING

We use a combination of AusPost Express Post and Local Couriers for all of our orders. We select the appropriate shipping provider depending on the time of day the order is placed to ensure we can get your drives delivered as soon as possible.

Absolutely. We'll email you a tracking number once your order has shipped. You'll find the tracking link in your email or you can simply click here.

We offer Flat Rate Express Shipping Australia Wide. For orders under 1.5kgs it's $29 Flat. For orders over 1.5kgs it's $39 Flat. We like to keep it simple and make it quick and easy for you.

We understand your urgency. All orders placed before 2:00PM AEDT will be shipped the same business day. If your order is placed after 2:00PM AEDT then it will be processed the next business day. AEDT is Melbourne Time just encase you're wondering.

If you place your order before 2:00PM AEDT on any given business day, we guarantee that it will be delivered to you the next business day.

If your order is placed after 2:00PM AEDT then it will be processed the next business day and thus be guaranteed for delivery the following business day.

For example, if you place an order at 1:55PM AEDT on a Wednesday, we guarantee delivery by close of business Thursday. If you place an order at 2:05PM AEDT on a Wednesday it won't be processed until the next business day, that being Thursday, which in turn guarantees delivery by close of business Friday.

Business Days are Monday to Friday. The next business day guarantee doesn't include weekends.

The next business day delivery guarantee applies to select postcodes in the AusPost Express Post Network. This covers almost all metro areas. If you would like to check if you are in the network please refer to the Australia Post Website, scroll down and select 'Express Post Delivery Postcodes'. Alternatively you can refer to this PDF.

Please let us know ASAP. We'll get in touch and do everything in our power to get the drives to you before your next shoot day. When the dust settles and we know you're covered, we'll issue you a full refund for the shipping costs.

LOCAL PICKUP

This process is instant. Once your order has been made both yourself and the rental house will recieve a confirmation email. Simply take this confirmation with you, the rental house will match your order with their records and you walk away with your Hard Drives.

The Vision House in Melbourne and Cameraquip in Brisbane are the two rental houses currently stocking Film Drives for local pickup.

The Vision House is located at 195 Rouse Street, Port Melbourne, VIC, 3207. They are generally open between 9:00AM - 5:30PM AEDT on Monday - Friday. If you have any doubts don't hesitate to give them a call on (03) 9676 2732.

FILM DRIVES 'ONE' and 'TWO'

Definitely. The all Film Drives ship with both a USB-A to USB-C Cable and a USB-C to USB-C Cable. This means that out of the box you can either use the Hard Drive on a USB-C Port, a USB 3.0 Port or even a USB 2.0 Port.

Yes, the Film Drives 'ONE' and 'TWO' is compatible with both Mac and PC.

Each and every Film Drives comes pre-formatted for macOS. They are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with a GUID Partition Map. The reason it isn't showing up on your PC is because Mac OS Extended (Journaled) only works on a Windows PC with 3rd Party Software such as MacDrive or HFS+ for Windows. All you need to do is Erase and Format the drive in the Disk Management Software. You can make it NTFS or exFAT and you'll be good to go.


LABEL MAKER

Label Maker was designed specifically for use on macOS. It'll run on any MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro or Mac Mini that is running macOS 10.11 or above.

To download Label Maker you need to go to the Label Maker Product Page (Products -> Label Maker), here there is a download form. Simply fill in your name and email address and you'll be sent a download link instantly.

Label Maker is free. Anyone can download Label Maker, give it a try, add it to their tool kit and use it on jobs. It's free now, it'll stay free forever.

Our goal is to make it super fast and super easy for anyone to create stunning hard drive labels. Having to buy something makes it harder to take that first step of trying something new. We made the software free so it is easily accessible to anyone. If we can put an end to scrappy camera tape labels on hard drives we'll be very happy.

Absolutely not, we designed it to be easy and accessible to everyone. The labels that are produced are A4 Size and can be printed from any A4 Printer. In terms of paper you have a few options. We recommend printing on normal paper and then laminating it, you could also print on a thicker 200/300GSM Paper and forego laminating or you could use an adhesive paper and go for a peel and stick option.
